Established in 2013, Mezini Brothers Ltd is a family-run civils contractor with over 25 years of construction experience. We started on the tools — on substations, transformer compounds and live grid connections — and that hands-on grounding still shapes how every project leaves our site.

Weight-bearing plinths and oil-containment bunds for two 33kV transformers, with engineered fill for full transformer-oil retention.
Peterborough East Grid Substation
Reinforced concrete raft foundation for an elevated switchroom, integrated with the existing site earthing system.
Chandos Road Battery Storage
Cable trenches, foundations, reinforced concrete slab, pad foundations and surrounding walls for a new battery storage facility.
Honington Primary T1 & T2 Replacement
Civil and structural works for new primary transformers. Precast fire-protection walls rated to four hours, full oil containment and reinstatement.
Wix Primary Substation, Colchester
Installation of FastBase pre-fabricated transformer bases — fast install, low carbon, significantly less concrete than cast-in-situ.

Trough systems, blast and retaining walls, fire-rated walls, chambers, cover slabs and gate posts. Structural alterations within live compounds and restricted sites.
